Third Twenty20 International: India thrashes Australia 147/6; Richa Ghosh excels
In the third and final Women’s T20I at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, India crushed Australia, scoring 147/6.
Notably, Ashleigh Gardner bowled the penultimate over in which 12 of these runs were scored.
Richa Ghosh studded her knock with some brilliant strokes as she hammered a respectable 34(28).
For the Australians, Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham each claimed two wickets.

Shafali Verma leaves India in a Powerplay
Following their invitation to bat by Australia, India got off to a fantastic start.
Shafali Verma played a counterattacking knock as Smriti Mandhana took her time calming down.
But Megan Schutt took the latter for a 17-ball 26.
After that, Mandhana took over and hit two boundaries in the sixth over.
After the first six overs, India was 51/1.

India falters in the middle overs; Ghosh hits one
Jemimah Rodrigues (60/2), Mandhana (64/3), and Harmanpreet Kaur (66/4) all fell out in the next four overs.
After briefly working with Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma left before the 100 runs were reached.
The latter, against all odds, attacked the Australian bowlers and led India over 120. Ghosh broke the chains with a couple of huge sixes.

Achievements for Shafali Mandhana Shafali scored 26 runs off of just 17 balls, including six fours. Her total number of runs in the format is over 1,600.
Mandhana, her countrymate, blasted a 28-ball 29 (2 fours and 1 six). During the knock, she exceeded 3,100 WT20I runs.
Mandhana made history previously by becoming the second Indian woman to score more over 3,000 runs in the format.

WT20Is wickets most
In four overs, Megan Schutt claimed a single wicket for 36 runs. The three-match WT20I series saw just one wicket taken by Australia’s top pacer.
Interestingly, Schutt has surpassed Nida Dar to claim the most wickets in WT20Is.
After breaking a tie, the former has 131 wickets at slightly over 17 from 105 matches. Nida is now 130 wickets behind Schutt.
