In a spectacular turn of events, the brilliant New Zealand batsman, Kane Williamson, has reached the zenith of the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings for batsmen, according to the latest announcement by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday. Steve Smith’s exceptional performance in the match, with impressive scores of 110 and 34, has propelled him a remarkable four places up the rankings, securing the coveted second position. Smith last held the top spot in June 2021, when he temporarily dethroned Williamson for a brief period before the New Zealand maestro reclaimed his rightful place.
