Reddy Suffers Knee Injury, Ruled Out of Series
Indian all-rounder Reddy has suffered a knee injury during a gym training session on Sunday. According to ESPNcricinfo, scans confirmed ligament damage, placing him out of action for the remainder of the England series.
Reddy had missed the series opener in Leeds, but returned for the second and third Tests at Edgbaston and Lord’s. He made his mark in the 3rd Test by dismissing both England openers, Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley, in the same over during the first innings. With the bat, he chipped in with 30 and 13 runs, showing his all-round value to the team.
More Injury Woes: Arshdeep and Akash Deep Also Sidelined
Reddy’s injury is not the only concern. The BCCI has confirmed that pacer Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the Manchester Test due to an impact injury to his left thumb.
Additionally, Akash Deep has reported a groin niggle, casting doubt over his availability for the 4th Test.
Uncapped Seamer Anshul Kamboj Added to the Squad
In response to the injury crisis, the BCCI has added uncapped seamer Anshul Kamboj to the squad. Known for his ability to contribute with the bat as well, Kamboj’s inclusion could prove vital if India faces further fitness concerns.
