ICC Men’s Player of the Month Nominees for July 2024
The ICC has revealed the nominees for the Men’s Player of the Month award for July 2024, showcasing three standout performers: Gus Atkinson from England, Washington Sundar from India, and Charlie Cassell from Scotland.
Gus Atkinson (England)
Gus Atkinson made an impressive debut in Test cricket, marking a significant moment at Lord’s, which also served as James Anderson’s farewell match. Atkinson dazzled with 12 wickets in his first Test, including a five-wicket haul in both innings. His figures of 7/45 in the first innings were instrumental in bundling out the West Indies for just 121 runs. Charlie Cassell (Scotland)
Charlie Cassell made a remarkable entrance into international cricket with his ODI debut against Oman in Dundee. He delivered an extraordinary performance, taking seven wickets for 21 runs, breaking Kagiso Rabada’s record for the best bowling figures on ODI debut. Cassell’s debut figures ranked among the best in ODI history, highlighting his immediate impact on the field.
