Narine’s unique records in IPL history
Narine is the only player in the history of the Indian Premier League to achieve both a century and a fifer, though not in the same match. He also became the third player after Rohit Sharma and Shane Watson to record a hat-trick and a century in the IPL.
Further, he is the first player to complete the double of 1,500 runs and 150 wickets for a franchise in IPL history.
Throughout his IPL career, he has scored 1,534 runs and taken 180 wickets.
Recognition
Multiple MVP awards in IPL
Narine won the award for Most Valuable Player in two other seasons (2012 and 2018) prior to IPL 2024. He is hence now the only player to win this award in three seasons.
Narine scored 357 runs and 17 wickets in 2018.
In his debut season, the spinner won Player of the Tournament honors during KKR’s 2012 title-winning campaign. He claimed 24 wickets that season.
