Bangladesh defeats Sri Lanka to win their first World Cup.
After defeating Sri Lanka in Delhi, Bangladesh secured their second victory in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
They were able to chase down 280, albeit the match was fought to the wire, with Shakib Al Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto spearheading the attack.
Charith Asalanka of Sri Lanka struck for 108 runs, but it was in vain.
Notably, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka in the World Cup for the first time.
