T20 World Cup: Largest run-based win margins throughout the elimination phases
At Providence Stadium in Guyana, the Indian cricket team defeated England by 68 runs in their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final match.
Remarkably, in T20 WC knockout matches, this is currently the second-biggest victory in terms of runs.
In 20 overs, India amassed 171/7 thanks to 57 from Rohit Sharma. England crumpled for 103 in retaliation.

74 runs – WI versus AUS, Colombo
The 2012 version of the T20 World Cup saw possible bosses West Indies take on Australia in the semis.
Batting first, the Windies scored 205/4 out of 20 overs. Chris Gayle drove the way with an unbeaten 75. Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo made valuable commitments.
Accordingly, Australia were bowled out for 131. Ravi Rampaul asserted 3/16.
WI won by an enormous 74 runs.

68 runs – IND versus ENG, Guyana
India lost the wicket of Virat Kohli right off the bat before Rishabh Gasp left too.
A stand of 73 among Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav assisted India with offering obstruction.
Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja’s appearances assisted India with getting to 171. For Britain, Chris Jordan guaranteed 3/37.
Accordingly, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav drove the accuse of the ball, giving India a strong 68-run win.

57 runs – SL versus WI, The Oval
The 2009 version of the T20 World Cup saw Sri Lanka and West Indies face each other at The Oval in an enormous semi-last conflict.
Batting first, the Lankans scored 158/5, riding on Tillakaratne Dilshan’s 57-ball 96.
Gayle’s unbeaten 63 wasn’t sufficient in the run-pursue. The Windies collapsed for a score of 101 in 17.4 overs.
SL won by 57 races to advance.

36 runs – WI versus SL, Colombo
West Indies won the 2012 version of the T20 World Cup. They beat Sri Lanka by 36 runs in the last held in Colombo.
The Windies scored a good 137/6 on a slowish surface. Marlon Samuels hit 78. Ajantha Mendis was magnificent, asserting 4/12.
The hosts flopped in the run-pursue, being collapsed for only 101 runs. Sunil Narine took 3/9.
